Strawberries and Ripped Jeans

I have read somewhere (sorry I forgot where! haha) that one of the weirdest things we women do in the name of fashion is to pay much for tears and rips in our jeans! Haha. Which is quite true considering the fact that ripped boyfriend jeans are so much on trend now! :)

I have always wanted to own a pair of ripped jeans but I never really got the chance to buy one because my mom really does not like it and the ripped jeans that I see are all to pricey! But now that I have one, I built my outfit around my new ripped boyfriend jeans.

Love my look today! I got a lot of compliments today because of trying on a new style. Hehe. :)

New sunnies in the same red color! :)

I love the fit of these ripped jeans! It has always been difficult for me to buy jeans because it is hard to find one that fits my odd shape. Haha. But I'm so lucky that these jeans fit! I also love the high waist. I always tend to wear high-waisted pants to emphasize a tiny waist. Tucking in my shirt also helps! :)

Cuffing your ripped boyfriend jeans will add to the laid-back feel of the whole look :) I decided to wear my strawberry printed longsleeve top and my red bow wedges to add sweetness and polish to an otherwise rugged look of the jeans.

Love what Nics wore today! :) He really loves his Siberian Husky, named Thunder, so much that he has a shirt with the head of a husky printed on it! hehe :)

Honestly, I really did not know if I will be able to carry these ripped jeans well. I was afraid to wear it out because it was something new that I never have tried before. But I kept my head high and just wore it with confidence, and voila! Everything turned out better than expected! Lesson: never be afraid to try something new even if outside of your comfort zone! :)

Until my next post!

A Special Celebration :)

Since the day was special, I made sure I wore something special too! But of course not too formal or flashy since we had a whole day of classes in school before we went out for dinner. Hence, I wore my new dress and my new wedges :)

To add something special, I wore a long gold necklace with a heart pendant from Bedazzle. Wearing long necklaces are a must if you want to create an illusion of a longer torso.

What I love about this dress is the unexpected vertical stripes on both sides of the waist of the dress. Horizontal stripes generally makes you appear fatter but because of the vertical stripes on the sides, it creates an illusion of a smaller waist! :)

I also wore my blue ribbon hairband to match my dress and to add a sweet and dainty detail to the look. :)

I have always loved strappy wedges! They make your feet look sexier. And I love how the pattern on the wedge matches the color of my dress.

Love the flowers so much! The colors are so vivid and they smell fantastic! :)

September 11, 2014 marks a very important event in my life! It marks the second year of my relationship with Nics :) Hehe. So we celebrated our anniversary by having a dinner in Vikings Buffet Restaurant. And of course, Nics gave me a bouquet of a dozen red roses and stargazers. Very fragrant! :)

Our relationship has always been something I am thankful every single day. Nics is not just my lover, he is my bestfriend, my adventure buddy, my psychologist, my professor, my confidante. :) The secret to lasting relationship? ALWAYS FORGIVE and UNDERSTAND. No matter how hard and painful, forgiveness will always do good :)

Until my next post!

One tip for putting a look together is too choose a key piece and then build your entire look around it. With my look today, my key piece is my leopard print top. :)

I chose a bag that will complement the entire look. The colors of my top blends will with the black and gold accents.

I definitely love this bag! The first time I saw this in Fashion Cravings's instagram page, I immediately loved it! The crown made up of studs is indeed very charming.

I saw this top in The Urban Hour during DLSU Animo Week Bazaar and I immediately loved it! I may be very fond of girly prints and colors, but I also am crazy for animal prints! It really screams femme fatale!

I wore my black peep toe pumps to add a hint of glamour to an otherwise casual and laid-back look. These shoes are very sturdy indeed! I bought them 4 years ago for my high school graduation ball and now look! They still look good as new!

Wearing heels really elongates the line of the body and makes you look sexier and leaner. So wear heels whenever you can! :) Plus the added height is always a bonus!

Cuffed pants are definitely back on trend! Also boyfriend jeans and straight cut jeans are making a comeback in the fashion scene.

Of course, I did not go to school wearing my sky-high heels! My feet would definitely die if I did! Haha. I wore my very comfy black suede flats during the whole day.

I love these suede flats especially the gold fleur de lis ornament! I definitely am in love with Paris so this design really is close to my heart. :)

See the difference between wearing heels and wearing flats? Heels really make a difference! Haha. But of course, don't kill your feet :)

When you dress up, do not be afraid to stand out! Don clothes that will make people turn, and when they stare, make sure it's worth their while! Confidence is key. And don't forget your SMILE! :)
